A New Chapter for Kenya’s Private Healthcare Sector Has Begun: Introducing RUPHA360
On 25th December 2025, we officially launched RUPHA360, an integrated platform designed to strengthen private healthcare, enhance patient experience, and align our sector with Kenya’s Universal Health Coverage(UHC) reforms under the Social Health Authority(SHA).
RUPHA360 brings together three major pillars that will transform how our 700+ member facilities deliver care.
1. RUPHA AfyaBora Medical Insurance – Expanding Access to Care
This is a health cover built for healthcare workers and the communities they serve. It provides essential benefits that complement the Social Health Authority Essential Benefits Package, including enhanced inpatient and surgical limits, a chronic disease outpatient package, preventive care and wellness screenings, mental health support, maternity and newborn services, dental and optical care, and pandemic‑related protection. This cover is designed for real‑world needs and delivered through trusted RUPHA facilities.
2. RUPHA Pensions (NSSF Tier II) – Building Long‑Term Security
This pension solution is customised for staff across RUPHA member facilities. It offers reliable savings, long‑term protection, and a capital base that can be reinvested into healthcare infrastructure, digital systems, and supply chains. It is a plan that protects workers today and secures the sector’s future.
3. Digital Integration – LCT Africa and RUPHASOFT
RUPHA360 introduces a unified digital backbone that supports real‑time claims adjudication, member and provider management, fraud reduction, seamless patient verification, and faster reimbursements. Digitisation is the foundation of sustainable healthcare and central to future service delivery.
